Proseguono martedì 13 maggio i Seminari Generali IAC 2025 con Simone Creo, Assegnista di Ricerca presso il Dipartimento di Scienze di Base e Applicate per l'Ingegneria di Sapienza Università di Roma.
Titolo del seminario è BVPs on Fractals: Between Theory and Applications, che si svolgerà in modalità mista in presenza al CNR IAC e in streaming (vedi link in calce), trasmesso sul canale YT dell'istituto.

Nowadays, it is well known that irregular structures appear in different contexts, e.g. in some problems of human physiology, diffusion of sprays and gasses in the lungs, fractal antennas, tumour growth in biological systems, non-Newtonian fluid mechanics, reaction-diffusion problems, flows through porous media, statistical mechanics and quantum fields on fractals. Hence, it is particularly important to provide a rigorous mathematical formulation of Boundary Value Problems (BVPs) in domains with irregular boundaries and/or interfaces (e.g. of fractal type). In this talk I will present some results concerning scalar and vector BVPs in irregular domains, with a special eye towards concrete real-world applications.
