ACRI 98

          Third International Conference on
Cellular Automata for Research and Industry

                   7-9 October 1998

                    SISSA / ISAS
Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati
        International School for Advanced Studies

CALL FOR PAPERS

Interest in Cellular Automata is growing both in academy and industry, due to their challenging theoretical aspects as well as to their useful practical applications, and they are in use in several fields, including the simulation of different kinds of dynamical systems (physical, biological, socio-economical), machine vision, parallel computation and the theoretical analysis of complex dynamics. Moreover, research on Cellular Automata often involves cooperation between experts in different scientific disciplines, opening new perspectives to the cross fertilization of different kinds of knowledge.

After the successful ACRI Conferences in Cosenza (1994) and Milano (1996), the third edition of ACRI aims at representing an international forum for researchers active in the Cellular Automata field, and also for those researchers who are wishing to evaluate the possibility to apply them in their own fields, or are interested in exploring this paradigm. ACRI '98 will be held at SISSA / ISAS (Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati - International School for Advanced Studies). SISSA is part of a scientific campus located near Miramare Castle, about 6 km from downtown Trieste and enjoys its rather picturesque setting on the hills facing the Adriatic sea.

DIVE DEL CINEMA

Siete sempre ben sviluppate,
soprattuto col seno,
armoniche ed assolutamente maggiorate.
A volte sembrate non avere limiti
e, come la Taylor, siete sempre.... somme!

Avete certe facce, voi,
tipi spigolosi,
e anche un po' altezzosi.
