Paolo Tieri is a tenured researcher (2011-) at the IAC - Istituto Applicazioni del Calcolo (Institute for Applied Computing) at the CNR - Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (National Research Council), and adjunct professor (2017-) of Bioinformatics & Network Medicine at Sapienza University of Roma, Italy.

PT holds a M.Sc. in Physics and a Ph.D. in Systems Biology. He has been a technology transfer specialist at ENEA, Bologna (2000-2003), research fellow at the Interdept. Center ‘L. Galvani’ for Biocomplexity and in the section of Immunology at Alma Mater Universita’ di Bologna (2003-2011), and a visiting researcher at Harvard Medical School (2005-2006) and the Max Planck-Chinese Academy of Science Insitute of Computational Biology (PICB, 2012-2013). PT is involved in network medicine, network biology, in the reconstruction and quantitative multiscale modeling and analysis of cellular signaling networks of the immune system, as well as in theoretical immunology topics.
