Silvia Grandoni is a Post-Doctoral researcher at the Italian National Research Council (CNR). Silvia obtained her master’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of Pavia, Italy, and her PhD in Bioengineering and Bioinformatics from the same University. During this period, her research was focused on mathematical modelling at the Laboratory of Bioinformatics, Mathematical Modelling and Synthetic Biology (BMS Lab), focusing primarily on the development of a Physiologically-Based-Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) translational modelling framework to support the development of inhaled drugs. After her PhD, she spent several months as a Research Fellow in pharmacometrics in the same group, working in modelling and simulation in oncology.
In 2020 she joined CNR for her Post-Doctoral research in translational pharmacology. She works to support antitubercular drug development using mathematical modelling and simulation within the ERA4TB project.
From 2020 Silvia is also a visiting scientist at University College London (UCL) where she is involved in different research activities related to clinical pharmacology and drug development, including students mentoring.
